The Bonding

This feral rabbit had babies (apparently there are a lot of them). The mother stayed with it until it was weaned but it stayed with us! It lives under our storage shed in the back yard. It can come an go as it pleases and out dogs don't really bother it because we're usually out with them but he has the sweetest eyes and disposition. One thing that bonded us, are that rabbits, especially the wild ones won't let you touch them or usually won't come near you, but this day, as I was lying on the ground talking to him, he came closer and closer until he put his nose on mine and just stood there!. I I could feel his whiskers on my face! From then one I knew he wasn't just an animal, that hey most definitely have souls.
